Day 161 - June 10

Like my Mum, I love all things oriental, and when I mentioned that one day on the 365-photos forum in connection with that Mother's Day card I had made for my Mum (Day 123 - May 3 in July Archive) one of my friends there kindly offered to send me leftover fabric squares from an oriental quilt. They came a few weeks later, accompanied by a beautiful stamped card (which you can see in the cut of the heart). They are absolutely gorgeous!

Paper from CS "Asian Artisan" with some unkown chipboard hearts; alphas from Basic Grey and peel-offs from Craft Creations; and of course two of the quilting squares!

Day 160 - June 9

An update on the looks of the garden - I really love the cottagey look with the terracotta pots between the herbs on the gravel bed.

KI Memories paper (including the title cutouts) and Jolee's Boutique photo corners (with flowers peeled off some extra corners to put into the pot!). Diecut flower pot and number sticker from Making Memories.

Day 159 - June 8

One of the things I do for a living still is freelance proofreading - this was an interesting job: the menu of a Health Bistro + Juice Bar. Yummie things, shame it's too far away to become a customer...

Papers from CS "Written Word"; tag from "Polynesian"; ribbon from "Fizz"; Alphabet Soup number; title bar and pen from Colorbok Susan Branch 3Ds.

Day 158 - June 7

Purple Loosestrife by the same canal as the sunset picture - although it grows on every canal or river in England I think!

Paper from Colorbok Flavia block; large number sticker leftover from a kit.

Day 157 - June 6

A beautiful sunset reflecting in the canal - the original photo is much better: the colours are really vibrant! It was such a beautiful evening despite the rotten day...

Paper from CS "Earth + Herbs"; Phrase Cafe number; mesh from Wiggly Woods texture box; real pressed flowers; and some unkown rubons and tag from a friend's stash.

Day 156 - June 5

Sean packing the van to go off to a canoeing weekend at Cardington. The weather forecast was mildly appaling, so he's got an extra duvet in the blue bag!

Paper from CS "Down to Earth"; number from "LMCTW"; 3D stickers from K&Co Grand Adhesions "Happy Campers"; and title sticker from Pebbles Tidbits.

Day 155 - June 4

First stage of Sean's "summer project": the fence panels he'd taken down are being recycled to enclose a veggie patch to keep it safe from Chiefie. This was the rough layout of where they would go...

KI Memories paper with picket fence from Jolee's by You; Queen + Co Cloud 9 Fab Flowers; Making Memories brad; Alpha Soup number; fibres from CS "Road Trip", and alphas are American Crafts Monograms Sarah Script.

Day 154 - June 3

These were the leftovers of the fire the day after...

Another old paper and scrap for the tag, with Club Scrap Mosaic Twist fibres and LMCTW stencil pop-out number. The alpha rub-ons are Doodlebug Party Mix.

Day 153 - June 2

We were having another bonfire to get rid of all the cutting from when we took down one of the divider fences in the garden which was full of ivy, and then part of the bamboo and other stuff behind it It was quite a roaring fire at times, taller than Sean, and Chiefie got frightened of the crackling noise and the flying sparks, so she was lying under my feet while I was sat and watching...

Paper from an old Halloween kit; MAMBI rhinestones title; number peel-offs from Craft Creations; and K&Co Grand Adhesives bonfire sticker.

Day 152 - June 1

The first rosebud of the year on the climbing rose the choir gave us as a present for our blessing of marriage 3 year ago.

Paper from a Club Scrap retreat kit; paper roses from Craft Creations; plastic alphas from Alphabet Soup; and a leftover number from an old sticker sheet.

Day 151 - May 31

I'm fascinated by the things growing in our garden - this is our "Salad Bar", all in pots and window boxes on an old table on the patio, so it's easy to nip out and collect a few leaves for the dinner salad... Even Sean has come to like and ask for a side salad with his dinner!

Paper from KI Gardening kit; window box from Jolee's by You with lettuces made from some Mulberry paper type scraps; and the little ladybird was a RAK from my friend Eve. Numbers from Making Memories and alpha peel-offs from Craft Creations.

Day 150 - May 30

A beautiful day - and the sunshine really brought out the bright white colour of this little shrub we have in the garden. It is one of my joys in spring!

Paper and chipboard letter from my scraps box (pat on the shoulder here for actually using some up!); spangled flower from my haberdashery stash; and peel-off alphas from Craft Creations.
