Yes, I have got caught up in the "Photo-a-Day" challenge that has been promoted worldwide, I suppose by all those Internet photo companies that have sprung up over the last year or two...
As most people in the scrapbooking world, I also endeavour to not only take the photos but also journal them in the form of a 6x6" album. This is the fist time I'm working with such a small format but it works well, and reasonably quickly, for this project.
As I don't have facilities to print my own photos, I'm always at least a month behind with the pages, but will post batches on a regular basis...
This photo (although in my album for today) was taken at the same time as the tree - remember the photo of the wreaths laid at the War Memorial? Well, this is Malclom (our Tower Captain) and Sean after ringing at church, trying to rearrange and retie the wreaths that had been dislodged (and some of them tattered) by the wind. It was a real sisyphus job: while they worked on one end the wind whipped up the other side again. In the end I had to go and help, too, holding the front row in place while Malcolm and Sean tied up both sides simultaneously...
