Yes, I have got caught up in the "Photo-a-Day" challenge that has been promoted worldwide, I suppose by all those Internet photo companies that have sprung up over the last year or two...
As most people in the scrapbooking world, I also endeavour to not only take the photos but also journal them in the form of a 6x6" album. This is the fist time I'm working with such a small format but it works well, and reasonably quickly, for this project.
As I don't have facilities to print my own photos, I'm always at least a month behind with the pages, but will post batches on a regular basis...
The journal says it all: "The gulls are Butlins’ most prominent feature: they are everywhere, and they are straight out of Hitchcock’s “Birds”! One stole an ice cream right out of Zoë’s hand in a flying attack, leaving her with scratches on her finger and nose, and quite shocked! However, I found that being looked at straight up close is something the birds cannot stand – they will immediately take flight and depart. Which incidentally makes taking a good photo of them quite tricky … despite their abundance."
The papers are Club Scrap "Poetic", with fibres from "Mosaic Twist" and "Groovy Christmas"; peel-off number from Craft Creations; glitter chipboard alphas are left-overs from a Scrapmuse kit; the letter "s" charm is from Making Memories. With cotton from my needlecraft stash and feathers from my card making days...
