Photo taken during the same cleaning session... This is a true heirloom, a German beer mug called a "Stein", which came down to me through my father from my grandfather who had bought it on a trip to Bavaria. These are collector's objects, not really for drinking (although you could!). It has some German verse on the front and intricate relief work both on the ceramic and the pewter lid.Paper is Club Scrap "Fossils"; alphas/letters are "By the Seashore" and "LMCTW". The fleur-de-lis are brads (manufacturer not known).
