Yes, I have got caught up in the "Photo-a-Day" challenge that has been promoted worldwide, I suppose by all those Internet photo companies that have sprung up over the last year or two...
As most people in the scrapbooking world, I also endeavour to not only take the photos but also journal them in the form of a 6x6" album. This is the fist time I'm working with such a small format but it works well, and reasonably quickly, for this project.
As I don't have facilities to print my own photos, I'm always at least a month behind with the pages, but will post batches on a regular basis...
We found this slow-worm at the allotment. It stayed in its hole for a long time, so we got some nice pictures of it, but then slithered away unhurriedly. We weren't at all sure what it was at first - Sean thought it was a Smooth Snake but they are very rare. The knocked off stump of its tail gave it away, though - slow-worms can shed part of their bodies when attacked!
