We had been wondering what this disease is that befalls our otherwise splendid rosemary bush each summer. When posting this picture at the Photo-a-Day forum, somebody solved my riddle for me: it's not a disease but a bug called "spittlebug" (probably not its scientific name but well...) and apparently they hide themselves and their eggs in the foam.
