Yes, I have got caught up in the "Photo-a-Day" challenge that has been promoted worldwide, I suppose by all those Internet photo companies that have sprung up over the last year or two...
As most people in the scrapbooking world, I also endeavour to not only take the photos but also journal them in the form of a 6x6" album. This is the fist time I'm working with such a small format but it works well, and reasonably quickly, for this project.
As I don't have facilities to print my own photos, I'm always at least a month behind with the pages, but will post batches on a regular basis...
The title reads "Carbon Fast" but the camera couldn't quite handle the clear + gold dome stickers...Tag reads: "I got interested in the idea of Carbon Fast last year at Spring Harvest and brought back idea leaflets. This year, it was even our Diocesan Lent Programme and so we joined in! It is harder than you think to come up with 40 things to do for a day to save energy. But I discovered that many things we habitually do with appliances are not at all that difficult to do without – we are all much too dependent on our electrical gadgets…Some days we took ideas from the leaflet – like taking out one of the bulbs in a room and have it slightly darker. The photo is of our bedroom lamps – there are two of these wall-mounted sets. Actually, I never put that bulb back in – it’s way bright enough for a bedroom…"
Papers are Club Scrap "Time + Space"; miniature bulb string from Dress It Up; 3D lamps from Jolee's by You; and those dome stickers from Paper Mania.
