Yes, I have got caught up in the "Photo-a-Day" challenge that has been promoted worldwide, I suppose by all those Internet photo companies that have sprung up over the last year or two...
As most people in the scrapbooking world, I also endeavour to not only take the photos but also journal them in the form of a 6x6" album. This is the fist time I'm working with such a small format but it works well, and reasonably quickly, for this project.
As I don't have facilities to print my own photos, I'm always at least a month behind with the pages, but will post batches on a regular basis...
This year's first visit to the allotment I'm sharing with a friend (you can see Emily working at the far end). It looks its bleak rough winter self. In the far middle you can see a stand of kale, about the only thing available at the moment, and Emily is fixing netting over the purple sprouting broccoli which should be ready for harvest soon. The tag reads: "As of this year, I’m sharing my friend Emily’s allotment! It’s only 5 minutes walk from our house and she is too busy with her studies to look after all of it. Another step towards the “live simpler, live healthier” resolution! Not too much work in January but bleak to look at!"
The paper, fibre and alphas are all from Club Scrap kit "English Gardens"; silk leaf from Craft Creations; plus some pressed grasses.
